Lochnell has some of the best woodcock shooting on the West of Scotland. The estate offers around ten days of keepered walked up shooting during the months of December and January.
Annual bags of between 150 and 300 birds per season have been the norm in the last decade. The estate keeper, John Mactavish, will arrange an excellent day's sport and can make introductions to neighbouring estates if your party wants to do more than a couple of days.
Lochnell operates a small driven shoot for the family, however there are days available to let.
A days driven shooting on the Lochnell estate allows you to enjoy some of the most breathtaking scenery in Britain, whilst also providing you with some very good sport.
